Membership Categories
Real Estate Coaching is a self-regulated industry. AAREC is committed to setting the highest standards of ethics, integrity and professional responsibility for members by engaging in self-regulatory activities that build and maintain public trust. Our selective membership, with its advanced qualification and requalification standards, is one such activity. Membership is based on business experience, coaching experience and educational achievement.
There are two categories of AAREC membership: General Member and Certified Member
You are eligible for General Membership if you,
- Are actively engaged in real estate coaching (doing one-on-one coaching, group coaching, coach training, speaking, writing, research, etc.) or have an interest in the profession of real estate coaching;
- Have a reputation for integrity and sound character;
- Agree to abide by the AAREC Terms of Membership, the AAREC Code of Coaching Ethics and Integrity and any other terms, conditions, rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines that may be adopted; and
- Meet other requirements that may be established from time to time by AAREC.
You are eligible for AAREC Certification if you:
- Are actively engaged in real estate coaching (doing one-on-one coaching, group coaching, coach training, speaking, writing, research, etc.);
- Have at least 3 years of real estate coaching experience;
- Have at least 7 years of real estate or organizational experience (includes coaching and non-coaching work in the private, public and nonprofit sectors);
- If requested, prove, with verifiable references, that you have provided real estate coaching or real estate coach training to at least 5 recipients in the last 12 months.
Your 5 references can come from:
- EITHER 5 real estate coaching clients
- OR 3 real estate coaching clients and/or 2 coach training participants
- Have a reputation for integrity and sound character;
- Agree to abide by the AAREC Terms of Membership, the AAREC Code of Coaching Ethics and Integrity and any other terms, conditions, rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines that may be adopted; and
- Meet other requirements that may be established from time to time by AAREC.
